About

I'm Joe. I graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Computer Information Systems from the College of Business.

I want to master the fundamentals of IT and help businesses stay secure. Support, systems, networking, cloud, and security all build on each other, so I'm open to any of them. Every role teaches something that makes me better at the rest.

The two things worth knowing about how I work: I am reliable and I am persistent. I finish what I pick up, and I stay on a problem past the point where it stops being interesting.

What I'm building

This site. The infrastructure is the point: Astro, Cloudflare Pages, DNS I manage myself, and a build in GitHub Actions that has to pass before anything reaches the main branch. The repository is public and every choice in it has a written reason attached, including the ones I got wrong and went back to fix. I wanted infrastructure I could explain out loud.
