Next: CompTIA Security+
Security+ is an entry-level security certification covering network security, threat identification, access control and incident response. It is the next certification I plan to study for. My coursework already covered the framework side of this: for the BRHS risk assessment, we weighed NIST CSF 2.0 against CIS Controls v8 and chose the one that fit the client. Security+ is the structured version of the same material with an exam attached.
Also next: PowerShell automation
Scripts that handle real systems administration tasks: parsing log files, bulk user operations and scheduled health checks. These are tasks that come up in most IT roles. They will go in a public repository as they are finished.
This site
Built in Astro with Claude Code and deployed through Cloudflare Pages. It is the best current example of how I work. Terraform for the Cloudflare configuration and a small Cloudflare Worker are the next pieces. The projects page has the current state of it.
